So I made a new paypal business account, and enabled the IPN.
When a person trys to donate, they get this message: "Sorry, we can't complete your purchase at this time, Please return to the merchant and choose another way to pay."
I don't know what am doing wrong, does it have to do Anything with paypal API?
What configurations do I need to setup on the paypal account to fix this?
Bear with me, as I've never had to use PayPal's IPN, so I'll be trying to help as best I can.
- What currency are you trying to utilize on PayPal?
- What currency do you have set in ./core/config/config.php?
- Is your account verified on PayPal?
- Is your E-Mail Address in ./core/config/config.php typed properly?
- Do you have notifications enabled in IPN on the PayPal website?
- Is the URL specified in the IPN set-up the URL for your instance of the Azer CMS IPN script? (i.e. http://yourdomain.tld/core/inc/ipn/ipn.php)

What I gathered from google though, is that if its a new paypal account, "the account has to be trusted by paypal first" which means the account has to age with purchases made over a period of time. Since its a new account am guessing I would have to make a purchase and wait a while.
I'll update this in the future if thats the case. I probly would test it out on my mail paypal account.

I was pretty sure that the notification URL had to be set to the IPN script. (from when I was looking it up earlier)
Okay so I got it working, I used my old paypal account and it works! So I guess you can't use a newly created paypal account. Thanks you
Alright. Sorry that I wasn't able to be of much help here, but I'm glad you solved your issue.
You could probably try contacting PayPal Support later on to see if they could help make the other account usable with the IPN System, but I'm not really sure how they would act.

I believe Paypal requires a verified account, which means a valid bank account or address on file that has been verified with a purchase.
Update on my post: I want to use my Caribbean paypal account instead of US
Okay so I was wondering, The code setup for this cms is through donations? Because I contacted paypal, and they said that where I live, donations aren't accept, but I could receive money through selling as a good. Is it possible to put PayPal's API link somewhere on the cms?
My US paypal account works with donations, But my Caribbean paypal account doesn't, and I would like to use my Caribbean account, because I do not live in the US anymore.
So my question is, is there a way to integrate a paypal button, or API link. I am not sure because, I don't know how the customers would receive the points after payment, since the cms is scripted for donations. LOL am confused uhh am a slight noob with this.
P.S My two accounts on paypal are 100% verified
Edit: 1)So on my website, the button where it says donate, can i edit that button to redirect my paypal API, pay link?
2)And when the purchase goes through, would the points still send, or ill have to configure something for that to work too?

The IPN system can receive payments for goods. It doesn't have to be a donation, that is just how it is setup for use in the US.
I ve setup Paypal and IPN. checked Patypals IPN logs everythign is fine and notificaiton has been sent. but neither VIP points are added nor the message is ccreated to notify donator. What could be wrong?
