If you have a portable Apache and or MySQL server currently running, please read the note below!
(Before you start, make sure you have exported your db from the portable MySQL Server, and save it so you can execute it into the new one later.

Note: Make sure you stop any Apache and MySQL servers that may be currently running).

Step 1. Download a full Apache HTTPD server for use, not a portable one included with a repack. I can honestly recommend the following software stacks:

Wampserver
Xampp

Step 2. Install your downloaded software stack. For this guide, I will be using XAMPP, since I already have it installed. Please note: After your Apache HTTPD server has been installed, make sure port 80 is not in use(Skype) before you start it.

Step 3. Execute your Trinity Account, and Character tables into the MySQL database. (Both XAMPP and Wampserver include a MySQL Database.) I use tc_auth as my account database for my account tables, and tc_char as my character database for my character tables. The default username should be root, and the password should be blank.

Step 4. Create a new database for the CMS tables to be installed to. I use cms as mine. (See Picture Below).

Step 5. Download the latest version of Azer CMS, by clicking the download button on the menu above.

Step 6. Extract the .zip you just downloaded. (I use WinRAR for extracting) (See Picture Below).

Step 7. Open the extracted folder and select all of the files inside, and copy them. (See Picture Below).

Step 8. Paste the copied files to your root folder. (Wampserver: www) (XAMPP: htdocs). (See Picture Below).

Step 9. Open any web browser and go to one of the following: localhost yourdomain.com External IP 127.0.0.1 For most cases, localhost will be the best choice.

Step 10. Once the installer has loaded, click install on the menu.

Step 11. Install Step 1 of 3 MySQL Configuration
Port Host (Will most likely be the same as your MySQL Host).
MySQL Host The host to your MySQL database.
MySQL Username The user to your MySQL database. If you are using XAMPP or Wampserver, it will most likely be root.
MySQL Password The password to your MySQL database. If you are using XAMPP or Wampserver, leave this empty.
CMS Database The name of the database we made in Step 4.
Account Database The name of your account database. (I use tc_auth).

Step 12. Click Continue.

Step 13. Install Step 2 of 3 Global Settings (This step is easy, just fill out the fields as described).

Step 14. Click Continue.

Step 15. Install Step 3 of 3 Store, PayPal & Realm Settings
SOAP Host Most likely the same as your Port Host, and MySQL Host
SOAP User (Game Username) (If this account exists, it will be given GM level 4. If it does not exist, the account will be created).
SOAP Pass Password for the SOAP User.
Paypal Email The email to which donations will be sent via Paypal.
Paypal Currency Select an option.
Realm Name The name of your first realm.
Realm Description Briefly describe your realm.
Realm Character Database The name of the database in which your character tables are located. (I use tc_char).
Realm Port The port your worldserver listens on. (Make sure the port is open) (This port can be found in your worldserver config file).
Realm SOAP Port The port your SOAP server listens on. (Make sure the port is open) (This port can be found in your worldserver config file). (Default: 7878).

Step 16. Click Install.

If installation was successful, save the Staff ID given. This ID will be required every time you login to the ACP with this account. The ACP can be found @ http://yourdomain/acp/

If installation failed, please post a support topic here, and a member of the Azer CMS team will assist you as soon as possible.

If you would like to contact me directly, you can do so via email: Luke@azer-cms.com.

The Ra Host is your server's IP address, and same with the Port Host. However depending on your machine, you might need to use 127.0.0.1 instead. Give it a try and post the outcome.

So now I've got this message "Mysql Query Error: Oops, something went wrong. (Enable debug mode for an error list)." when I go on 127.0.0.1 . May be because I tried it with a portable mysql and apache. I use a repack V5 4.3.4 by wowsource.info . But I already tried with WAMPserver about 1H ago and I get only few problems. So now I'll try with Xampp.

FIOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU so :

- I download Xampp and it's the same problem that Wamp : I created a new user in Phpmyadmin with the database's logs : root and ascent.
And when I try to connect in SqlLog ( same as navicat or... ) I've got a message like : Acces denied for root@localhost using password yes" .

And when I'm connect as Root using no pass I can't export World as sql file I've got this message : Query:
CREATE DATABASE /*!32312 IF NOT EXISTS*/`information_schema` /*!40100 DEFAULT CHARACTER SET utf8 */

Error occured at:2013-06-21 15:57:45
Line no.:15
Error Code: 1044 - Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' to database 'information_schema' and some little things with.

Edit : works it was just a mysql prob

You would export the database tables from your old mysql server before starting the new one. After that you would execute the sql files you exported(Dumped), into the new mysql server.

How do you make your website public after it's made?

Well, all you really need to do is open ports, and allow the Apache server to bypass the firewall.
Open port 80, allow Apache.exe to bypass the firewall, and your website should now be public.

After getting many failed installs and then perfecting my install to nearly failproof i noticed something on the mysql side of things so here is a little tip.

before you instal the cms:
1. export your databases (as luke said in his tutorial)
2. uninstall your current mysql server
3. install WAMP (my preference anyway)

here is the trick

after you install WAMP go to c:\wamp\bin\mysql\mysql5.x.x.x\

insde that directory you will find a file called my.ini you need to edit that at these lines:

max_allowed_packet =
sort_buffer_size =
net_buffer_length =
read_buffer_size =
read_rnd_buffer_size =

set them to :

max_allowed_packet = 10m
sort_buffer_size = 10000k
net_buffer_length = 10000k
read_buffer_size = 10000k
read_rnd_buffer_size = 10000k

now restart all services in Wamp

the numbers i used are quite high, the crucial one being the i would not set it any lower.

proceed with the Azer CMS install

IF YOU DO NOT DO THIS WITH THE NEWER WAMP VERSIONS YOU MAY RUN INTO READ BUFFER ERRORS AND on import of trinity databases

and it will also cause the cms to not issue a staff id.

again after several failed attempts and working backwords this is the only thing i have done differently and now have nearly 100% success on install

I am constantly installing WAMP and Xampp on my computers... Running Windows 7, and Windows 8... And I always have successful installs without modifications.

Luke, I have your 3.0 version and downloaded the latest one.
What do I need to change? Only the files (php, images etc) or do I need to update the sql tables too?

Sorry, Luke, let me explain better:

I have, I believe, an old 3.0 version (pre mysqli) and you have made some modifications this year, rigth? Like change to mysqli, add a few new acp functions, improved security etc
So, my questions are:

1) There is any sql changes or can I simply update the php files?
2) I have the MOP template (I bougth with you). It stills apply or there is an updated version, too?

No MySQL changes, you can just update the PHP files. And yes the style is compatible with both versions.
